Born Pretty Store Review: Silver Spikes

My poor little blog has been a bit neglected recently. I have been insanely busy with work, and I don't have time to work on my blog because my weekends are so busy. On top of that, my little nails just keep breaking!

But I have some exciting stuff to share, I got a promotion at my job! I have only been there about 3 months, and I already have been promoted and have an employee to manage! I am going to be supper busy during this transition, but you will still be able to find me here :)

Today I have a post that I have been wanting to do for ages! You all know how much I love my blue spiky shoes and I have wanted to do matching nails. Sadly I didn't have any spikes...until now. Born Pretty Store sent me these silver spikes to review! The official name of these spikes is 100Pcs 2.5mm*2mm Punk Simple Spike Rivet Stud UV Gel Nail Art Decoration.

As the name suggests, you get 100 spikes per order, which are 2.5 mm by 2 mm. They come in gold, dark grey, and silver, and I received the silver ones.

I was worried they would be too big, but they actually are a nice size to fit on my small nails. They are pointy, but not too sharp that I was hurting myself. The spikes were pretty difficult to place onto my nails. They were too heavy to pick up with my picker-upper tool and too small to use my fingers. I know that these aren't super practical, so I just attached them on with top coat because I didn't plan to keep them on more than a day. These guys started popping off pretty quickly, and after going out to dinner and a movie, I lost about half. I am sure they would stay on better if I had used nail glue to stick them on.

The Line Up:

I think these spikes are super fun and have a really dramatic look. They aren't very practical, but are a great addition to a nail art look if you are looking to make a statement. Next time, I will attach them with nail glue to hopefully prevent them from falling off. I am already thinking of more nail art looks for these. After all, they  are called Punk Simple Spike Rivets ;)

I loved creating a look to match my awesome blue spike shoes. One can never have enough of royal blue, and spikes, right?

What do you think of these Born Pretty Store spikes? What looks would you create with them?

Claws Up!
