It has been way too long since my last Disney princess Mix and Match look. I have wanted to do a look inspired by Meg from Hercules for a while. Hercules is one of my favorite Disney movies. I love all of the mythology, plus I love that there's a Greek "princess" since I'm Greek.
I also have some awesome Born Pretty Store nail decals to share! I received these Unique G-shaped Pattern Nail Art Water Decals Transfers Stickers and they instantly reminded me of Meg from Hercules. Not only are there Greek key decals, but also spiral decals just like in the movie.
On a side note, yesterday was the 3rd blogaversary of Claws Up! Thanks to everyone for all of your support over the last three years! I appreciate everyone that has stuck around, especially those that were here from the start. Thanks for being kind and understanding, and always encouraging, even when I shared my many fails!
I have a stack of note sheets with my nail art ideas on them. When I pulled the one I had done for Meg, I saw I drew Greek keys and a spiral! Destiny!
These decals come in both silver and gold (I received the gold ones) and with large and small sizes in each pack. That's perfect because I have infant sized nails so I could put the smaller ones on my smaller nails. They are super easy to apply too. Just cut out the one out want, peal off the plastic, and soak it in warm water for about 20 seconds. Once taken out of the water, the image will come right off and then just put it on the nail! Since they will be wet, its really easy to move the decal around the nail to get the perfect spot. Finish by dabbing the excess water with a paper towel, and a layer of top coat.
Yes, that is my Hercules VHS.
I love how gold and glittery the nail decals are. They also lay perfectly flat on the nail, you can't even tell they are decals, they really look painted on. This means they last a lot longer than nail stickers, which usually start to peal off after a day. I can't wait to try out the Greek key shapes too!
For my Meg nails, I decided to play off the two purples in her dress and create a double purple French tip. I added the gold spiral Born Pretty Store water decals to match the ones on her dress. I was super happy with how my Meg nails turned out. Stay tuned for my matching makeup look!
What do you think of my Meg nails, and these Born Pretty Store water decals? Which Disney Princess should I mix and match next?
