How often does this happen to you? You set out with a clear plan for your nail art, and when its done it looks totally different. That's what happened to me when I was reviewing these Iced Mylar Nail Art Sheets from Born Pretty Store.
These mylar sheets come in 12 different colors in little pots. They are super hard to apply. I used tweezers but it was hard to pick up the smaller pieces with them, and the larger ones I could pick up easily were sometimes too big for my nails. They also stick up a lot, and even with a good layer of topcoat they wouldn't lay flat. But the fight is worth the outcome. They are so pretty on the nail and have a gorgeous effect when the light hits them!
I wanted to use these to create a stained glass look. I was inspired by this sun window.
I swear this started out looking like a cool, stained glass sun!
After I painted my nails with polish, I added top coat and stuck on the mylar sheets to the corresponding colors. I finished with a layer of top coat on top too.
These turned out a lot more abstract than I had hoped, but I loved the outcome. All the colors are so pretty together, especially with the effect of the mylar sheets on top. I was obsessed with my thumb!
