Julep Maven October 2015: Coco Hernandez

Don't forget to enter my giveaway!

Can you believe October is already half over? I feel like my favorite month is going by so quickly! One good thing about it being the middle of the month is that I received my Julep Maven box in the mail! I love getting the October boxes because they are Halloween themed, perfect to share for my month of Halloween posts.

This was the special Halloween box, I think it was called the Coco Hernandez box, but don't quote me on that. It came with three nail polishes, nail stickers, and candy corn. Candy corn is gross, so I gave it to a coworker who loves it, but I was excited to try everything else in the box.

This was a fun pinky-magenta creme polish. Formula was a tad on the think side, but still very manageable. This is two coats with no top coat. I really loved this pretty color, but it doesn't scream fall or Halloween to me.

This one was a beautiful black cream filled with tons of silver microglitter. Formula was good, just a tad on the thinner side. This is two coats without top coat. I loved this color so much, it reminds me of the night sky. This is great for Halloween, but would be perfect for galaxy nails too.

This is just a basic, solid white cream polish, Went on fine for a white nail polish. Shown here is two coats without topcoat. You can never have enough good white nail polishes!

I was most excited to try these bright neon skull and crossbone nail stickers. They were like eye-burning neon yellow, and so cute and fun for Halloween! Unfortunately, they fought me tooth and nail (ha ha, get it?). They were so brittle that I ended up breaking a few of them just pealing them off the backing. They were all too wide for my nails, so I had to cut off the cute boarder around the outside. When I tried to file off the excess, they just kept cracking and breaking. They were also super thick, making wearing them just a big pain, and they looked awful. I was so sad about these, I really had high hopes.

Overall I liked the nail polishes a lot, I just wish they looked more like fall. And those nail stickers were sadly a major fail. Boo!

Did you get the October Julep Maven box? What was your favroite thing in this month's box?
