Halloween Look Book + Makeup Looks : Dia De Los Muertos

Don't forget to enter my giveaway!

All month long I have been counting down, and preparing for the big day, Halloween! Personally, I feel the most comfortable when I am dressed up. Self expression is extremely important to me, which is why I created a beauty blog. Dressing up is one of my favorite forms of self expression. You get to wear anything you want, have crazy makeup, and you can go out in public and it's completely normal. Its an amazing day of the year.

Since I love Halloween so much, I wanted to share my official Halloween look on the blog. After all, this is a space for me to express myself. This year I went out for Halloween as a Day of the Dead sugar skull. My costume consisted of a few of my own clothes, some new clothes, and a few pieces I picked up at the party store.

The sugar skull makeup is actually made up of a few temporary tattoos. I thought about doing the makeup myself, but I wanted something that wouldn't sweat off. Let me tell you, those tattoos did exactly what I wanted. The next morning it took 20 minutes to scrub them off, and I have a few battle wounds on my face from it. But I loved how they looked so much, I got lots of compliments!

We had so much fun that night! Ben got me Dia de los Muertos flowers for my birthday, which were perfect for my costume. We went out for a night of drinks and dancing. I was even chosen to be in the costume contest. I didn't win, but I was just so excited to be chosen to enter. We just were silly on the dance floor and had a great time. It felt so good to go out, have fun, and be happy!

What was your Halloween costume? How did you celebrate this year?
