[Collab] Look Book/Mani: Plaid Perfection

I have really been enjoying creating these collaboration posts with Kelly this month! It has been a really fun experience working with such a sweet person to create some awesome posts together. My favorite part was seeing how Kelly created beautiful nail art that was inspired by one of my outfits. It was a surprise every time!

This is the final collaboration post that we planned, but I'm sure we will be back with more in the future!

Is it just me, or does winter just make you want to wear plaid? I think its the perfect winter print! I love the darker colors, but having a fun print is a great winter pick-me-up. For my birthday, my mom got me an awesome plain dress. Yes, I know it's completely impractical to wear an off the shoulder dress in the winter, but with the right layering it can be a great dress for a night out!

Born Pretty Store Review: Assorted Rhinestones

How is everyone surviving the snowpocalypse? I got really lucky here in northern Virginia, only getting a couple inches. If you are snowed in, I hope you are staying warm!

Today I have another Born Pretty Store review to share! This one is for these Assorted Rhinestones. In one small pot you get every color and size rhinestone you could want. I don't think I could name all the colors, but they include greens, pinks, yellow, blues, silvers and even more. Plus they come in small, medium, and large sizes. I thought a covered nail look would look awesome with these.

[Collab] Look Book/Mani Swap: Lots of Leopard

Remember to fill out my reader's survey!

Kelly and I are back again with another collaboration post. If you missed last week's post, Kelly and I are getting together do to matching outfit and nail art looks. Today we are have a swap, we each did a new look to match a past look that we have done.

I decided to do my look book post to match this white leopard mani that Kelly has done. Okay, okay, technically its a white tiger, but the spots were leopardy, so I went with it.

Born Pretty Store Review: Floral Nail Decal Sheet

Please fill out my reader survey!

It's so nice to finally feel like I'm getting back into the swing of things. My nails are slowing growing out of their nubs just in time for me to get some items from Born Pretty Store to review.

First, I tried out these floral decals. Unlike the other decals that I got from Born Pretty Story, these come in a full sheet rather than individual flowers. I was nervous to try them at first because it looked like it was going to be hard to cut out shapes to perfectly fit my nails.

These apply just like any other Born Pretty Store nail decals. The best part is that they dissolve really quickly with acetone, so it actually was very easy to trim them down to the size and shape of my nail using acetone after I applied them.

[Collab] Look Book/Mani: Winter Green

Please fill out my survey!

Kelly from Devilish Designs is one of the sweetest bloggers I know. I have been following her blog for as long as I can remember. She does some awesome nail art, beautiful swatches, informative reviews, plus I love watching her videos.

I have really enjoyed getting friendly with Kelly, so I was super excited when she came up with the idea for us to do some collaboration posts! We wanted to put some looks together that feature her nails matching my outfits. Fun, right?!

For our first collab, we started off with one of my favorite dresses this winter. I just love the geometric lace pattern and the see-through sleeves. The dark green is so perfect for winter time, it totally reminds me of evergreen trees.

Look Book: NYE 2015

Please fill out my survey!

Its a good thing my new years resolution isn't to be on time more, because I was super late getting up my new years outfit post!

Actually I'm always always early for things. In college I handed in a paper about two weeks early, with lots of judgement from my fellow classmates.

For new years I knew I wanted to wear something colorful and fun. I mean, when else can you go all out? I found an old gem hiding in my closet that I knew would be perfect. Actually, I was really surprised that I hadn't worn this dress on new years before. My mom also got me a really fun pair of colorful flats, and a gorgeous mint jacket. I had all the pieces ready for a new years look!

Black and White and Cats all Over

Due to the cold weather, expect delays in your normally scheduled nail art posts.

I can't catch a break (no pun intended)! Every day I have another broken nail. As soon as my nails just start to look decent enough to photograph...something breaks. This has left me pretty uninspired.

It has been way too long since I have done nail art , and even though my nails are a hot mess, I wanted to paint. While I was in Texas, my brother and sister in law gave me Deborah Lippmann's Polka Dots and Mood Beams for Chanukkah, which I have had my eye on ever since I first saw it. I really wanted to break it out for a black and white mani.

Makeup Looks: NYE 2015

This whole having two long weekends two weeks in a row had gotten me off schedule. I feel bad that my makeup look for new years is a few days late, and I feel even worse that my outfit post is going to be even later. But better late then never, right?

I hope you all had a fun, and safe, new years. Ben and I had a lot of fun at a bowling/arcade playing games until the ball dropped. Even though the venue was super casual, I am always looking for an excuse to dress up, and new years is no exception. I will have my outfit post up soon, but today I want to show you guys my new years makeup look!

Look Book: These Boots are Made for Walking

When I started my first office job in May, I was unprepared for office life in the winter. I stocked up on some comfortable heels and nice tops, but as the weather got colder, I quickly realized I needed to expand my work wardrobe.

One item I decided I couldn't live without was a pair of high heeled boots. Since my boyfriend is already on my case about the amount of shoes I have, my goal was to get one perfect pair that would match with everything. I scoured the internet for months. Why was it so hard to find taupe, high heel, not leather, knee high boots in a size 6? Eventually the stars aligned, and this pretty pair fell into my hands (thanks for the Chanukkah gift, mom!)
