Guest Post: AuttyW

Ben and I have officially moved into out first house! It has been an exhausting few weeks, and there's even more to come, but I am just about ready to get back into blogging. Today I have the final guest post, and this one is from AuttyW. It's safe to say Autumn is my blogging bestie. We SnapChat everyday, so I was really exited to have her on my blog!

First of all let me just say congratulations to Jacquie and Ben for the purchase of the first house! That is so exciting and I am so happy for you both!!

I am Autumn and I blog over at AuttyW.

When the idea of a guest post was thrown around, it took me a few days to figure out what I wanted to do. I settled on something food-related just because I thought it would be fun and then I thought “ oh my gosh!,  I should totally do mini food and bake them in the Easy-Bake Oven.”  That was my total original plan and I spent a good 45 minutes prepping food and getting everything cut down a small enough to fit on the pan as well as to fit in the Easy-Bake Oven itself.  Unfortunately, There was so much wasted vegetable from trying to get it to fit in the Easy-Bake Oven that I just gave up after an hour of trying to cook it. Everything was turning out soggy and just not good. I do not recommend baking vegetables in an easy bake oven.

Guest Post: Varnished Valkyrie

For today's guest post, Kas is here from Varnished Valkyrie. I have loved her sense of humor and amazing nail art from the moment I found her blog. She is also a bit of a nail celebrity, her 53 coats of nail polish look is all over the internet, and I am kind of obsessed with how famous she is.

When Jacquie asked me to to a guest post on her blog, of course I said yes. I can safely say that in the 4 years of me being part of the blogging world she is one of the blogs I regularly go to to see if she updated :)  So! This is actually a post I have been wanting to do for quite a while on my blog, but I never got around to doing, so I figured why not now!?

Guest Post: Sincerely, Sara

Today I have a special guest post to share. Sara, from Sincerely, Sara, is my best friend of 18 years and my maid of honor. We even started our blogs just a few weeks apart! This isn't Sara's first time guest posting for me (and you can even spot photos of our adventures together here too), and I am so happy to have her back!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey Claws Up readers! I'm Sara and I blog over at Sincerely, Sara

Maybe it's the writer in me, but I find it fascinating that we all have hobbies that are close to our hearts, interests that rise above the rest, ones that stick with us for life. For Jacquie, it's nail art, Lady Gaga, and cute animals (obviously she likes all animals, but who doesn't like cute animals?!). My biggest interests are writing, books, fashion, and photography. And there's nothing better than mixing your favorite things!

I try to add some bookish flair to my outfits as much as possible: a library card scarf, a typewriter brooch, a mug with a girl reading books on it, or maybe even an actual book!

What are your favorite hobbies?

Guest Post: Sarah Lou Nails

Hey guys! Today I have another amazing guest poster on the blog. I have been following Sarah from Sarah Lou Nails for as long as I can remember. Not only is she a cat lover and Lady Gaga fan (aka a little monster) but she also does some gorgeous nail art.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey guys, I'm Sarah from Sarah Lou Nails! I'm excited to be guest posting on Claws Up!

Today I have a geometric, minty, polka dottie, pattern nails. I used a striping brush to make guides for the straight lines, filled them in with the polish bottle brush, and used a dotting tool for the dots.

Guest Post: NailsLikeLace

As I have mentioned, Ben and I just bought our first house! It's such an exciting time, but also an extremely busy time. I decided that to keep my blog running, I needed a little help. That's why I have asked for a few guest posters to join me here for a couple of weeks while I move and get settled into my new home. I am very excited to have Amber from NailsLikeLace here as my first guest post!

Hello fantastic Claws Up'ers! Amber here from NailsLikeLace. I'm thrilled and honored to be posting for Jacqueline today! I've known her for years and just love her spunky style.

I knew I needed to push the limits and try something unique to fit in here, so I went with a water marble.

Look Book: Beige Booties

More times than I'd like to admit, I decide that I just have to have an article of clothing. I will search high and low for that perfect item to fulfill my needs. This winter, I decided that I needed a pair of beige ankle booties. Ankle booties are so popular now, and I thought beige was just the perfect neutral.

I must have gone through a hundred pairs. Some were too high, some were too low, some were not the perfect shade of beige, and some were made of leather. I must have looked for months, until I found the diamond in the rough. And in true Jacquie style, they were on sale! It was meant to be.

Born Pretty Store Review: Black Suit Nail Wraps

Press Sample

We bought a house! On Friday Ben and I officially closed on our first home together, and after a night of celebrating, the work began on Saturday. We don't move in until later this month, but until then there is a lot that needs to be done.

Since I am super busy this month, I thought it would be the perfect time to try out these black suit nail wraps from Born Pretty Store. They come in two sets of eight, in varying sizes for different nails. I love the super cute design with a collared dress on half, and a suit and tie on the other half. To apply all you do is peal the wraps off the back and stick them on your nails, then file off the excess.

Born Pretty Store Review: Feather Nail Stickers

Press Sample

Today is an exciting day. Ben and I close on our first home today! I'm nervous about being a home owner, but I also can't wait! Once we get all moved in and settled, you can bet I'll be sharing some pictures.

It's also an exciting day because I have a Born Pretty Store review to share. I was sent feather nail stickers to review. I was so excited to try these because I love feathers, and these stickers looked so pretty. To use them just peal them off the backing and stick them on your nails. I decided to use these stickers in some dreamcatcher nail art.

Look Book: Geometric

When it comes to clothing, there are some things that I know I'll love right away. Leopard print? Yes please! Mint? Gimmie! But then some things come around, and I'm shocked how much I love it. That happened when my mom sent me a geometric printed skirt for Valnetine's day. I have never been one for geometric patterns, but something about this skirt just drew me in and it became an instant favorite.
